Meeting Recap 3.27.25

Our thanks to everyone who joined us at our last General Meeting on 3.27.25!

We shared the working draft of our organization, taken from the national Indivisible vision for 2025. NELake County vision

From the grand scale, we then moved into the details and local focus, discussing how we can each make a meaningful impact here and now in Lake County. We heard from folks already taking bold action and broke out into small groups to explore:
1. Why and how to contact Members of Congress
2. What to expect at a demonstration, protest, or rally
3. How do we make an impact in Lake County with a power analysis of officials
We closed with our #1 Action Item: GET OUT THE VOTE! Tomorrow is Election Day, and we hope you’ve done your homework and connected with your favorite “aggregators” such as unions, townships, and friends to decide who will get your vote on the ballot!

Lastly, we reiterated our first big sponsored event: This Saturday’s Hands Off! Rally coordinated among the Nationwide Day of Action and in partnership with a long list of organizations to include Indivisible, Women’s March, MoveOn, Working Families Party, SURJ, Public Citizen, and so many more! Join us at the southwest corner of Grand and Hunt Club in Gurnee where we will make it known that Lake County stands in defense of democracy! Bring a sign and a friend!
